High Cascade Lakes
Cascade Guides & Outfitters can provide unique experiences on a wide variety of pristine High Cascade lakes. We offer full day and half day trips to many of the famous lakes nestled in the Cascade Mountains and all equipment is provided. The lakes are regularly scheduled depending on time of the year and species targeted.
Crane Prairie
World renowned for its “Cranebows” and is Cascade Guides & Outfitters home waters. We accommodate more fly fishing guide days on these waters than any other.
A remarkably productive lake, Crane produces some of the largest Rainbows in the western United States. With a maximum depth of only 15 feet, its standing timber shoreline offers challenging and rewarding opportunities.
East Lake
A high altitude lake nestled within the Newberry Crater National Monument. At 6,300 foot elevation. We start running guided trips as soon as the ice is off.
Browns, Rainbows and Kokanee salmon provide for exciting fishing. The large hatches on this lake can generate a day of nonstop action on all species of fish. An excellent lake for family guided trips.
Lava Lake
This lake can be a good producer for large numbers of fish. Hatches can produce amazing days on dry’s flies and nymphs and is also an excellent streamer lake.
Cascade Guides & Outfitters utilizes Big Lava for many guided trips and is an excellent choice for a family fly fishing trip.
Hosmer Lake
One of the most picturesque lakes in the United States, along with being known for its huge Brook Trout, Rainbows, and aggressive Cutthroat. Hosmer is a fly fishing only, catch-and-release lake. No motors are allowed on this lake so quiet and serene are at its best.
Hosmer sits at the foot of Mt. Bachelor, a world class ski facility, and in the heart of the Cascade Mountains. A clear and shallow lake, Hosmer never fails to inspire fishermen with its beauty and cruising fish at your fingertips.
Davis Lake
Unique fly fishing only catch-and-release lake is also the largest natural lake in Central Oregon. Davis is our best early season producer in the spring. BIG trophy Rainbow Trout cruise to shallow weed beds and will challenge the best of fly casters. This natural lake offers fast and exciting action from early April until mid-July on Black Bass in the 3-8 pound class.
Ever seen a big Bass blow up on a popper? If not, then you need to! Come fish with us at this unique Trophy trout and Bass fishing lake.
Outstanding day out at Crane. Our two boats caught dozens of nice sized “Cranebows”, beautiful, nice sized fish–up to 7 pounds. It was tough early with a big wind but our guides know the lake and constantly moved to find fish. Highlight of my summer. Thanks guys!
